The Nigeria Professional Football League board has again postponed the 2023–24 season draw. Recalls that the draw ceremony was scheduled for Thursday, August 24. However, the NPFL board has decided on a new date: Tuesday, August 29, 2023. Surprisingly, the board didn’t reveal why they postponed the event. Nigerian singer Wizkid, also known as Ayodeji Balogun, is mourning the loss of his mother. Tragedy struck as Wizkid’s mother, Mrs. Jane Dolapo Balogun, passed away at around 1:30 a.m. on Friday. Wizkid’s long-time manager, Sunday Are, confirmed the heartbreaking news. He revealed that Mrs. Balogun died in the early hours of Friday. “Yes, she passed away this morning, around 1:30 am,” said Sunday Aaare. The Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) and Tucks Transit Parks (TTP) have made it mandatory for truck drivers to pay a N50.00 stamp duty for every N1,000 receipts they receive. According to a notice issued by TTP to all stakeholders, NPA instructed TTP to start implementing the directive of adding a N50.00 stamp on all receipts worth N1,000.00 and above.
