19-year-old Nigeria-born Leaves Dortmund to Join Eintracht Frankfurt
Nigerian-born Nnamdi Collins, who plays central defence for Borussia Dortmund, has joined Eintracht Frankfurt.
The 19-year-old, who has played for Germany’s youth teams, could also represent Nigeria.
After joining BVB in 2016, Collins climbed through the youth ranks, winning the German A Junior Bundesliga title in 2022 and captaining the U19s a year later.
He debuted at the senior level this year, making eight appearances for BVB in the 3. Liga.
BVB sporting director Sebastian Kehl wished him success, as Collins desired a summer club switch.
In his statement, Sebastian Kehl said, “Nnamdi approached us and expressed a great desire to switch clubs this summer. We wish him all the very best for his future.”
