Check GLO Balance

Wondering how to check your glo balance? Or How do you keep your gossip discussion running smoothly without any sudden interruptions? Just like checking the gas level in your car before a long trip, it’s crucial to know your airtime balance on GLO, the network provider of choice for millions in Nigeria before gisting.

Picture this: You’re in the middle of an important call or gisting your friend as a Nigerian, and suddenly, your credit runs out! Talk about spoiling the flow! But fear not, I’ve got a personal story for you.

Last month, I was caught off guard during an important job interview call. Ever since then, I vowed to keep a close eye on my airtime balance.

Most Nigerians may find it difficult to check their airtime balance as NCC recently approved a unified Unstructured Supplementary Service Data, USSD, for all mobile networks in the Country.

Let me show you a quick and easy way to check your Glo airtime balance, so you can stay connected, anytime, anywhere.

How to check GLO balance

There are many ways to check your GLO airtime balance but I will walk you through the two easy ways;

  1. Using USSD
  2. Using GLO mobile app

Method 1: How to check glo balance using USSD

  1. Open your phone’s dialer app.
  2. Dial the USSD code *310# and press the call button.
  3. After dialling, a page will pop up with different options.
  4. Select option 1 for “main balance” from the list.
  5. Press the send button to confirm your selection.
  6. Immediately, another page will pop up, displaying your Glo account balance.

That’s it! You have successfully checked your Glo account balance using the USSD code.

Now, let us talk about the second method. Though this method is not for everybody. Why did I say so? You will find out soon.

Method 2: How to check GLO balance using Mobile App

To check your Glo account balance using the mobile app on your smartphone, ensure you have data and a strong internet connection. This method is only for those using smartphones and is not applicable to button phones. As a Nigerian, you know what I mean by button phones.

  1. Unlock your smartphone and go to the settings.
  2. Navigate to the “Mobile Data” or “Network & Internet” section and ensure your Glo mobile data is turned on.
  3. Locate and open the Google Play Store app on your phone.
  4. Use the search bar within the Play Store to look for the “Glo mobile app.”
  5. Once you find the app, click on the “Download” button to start the installation process.
  6. After the installation is complete, open the newly installed Glo mobile app.
  7. The app will prompt you to enter your Glo phone number. Type in your Glo phone number and proceed.
  8. The app will then process your data, and after a short while, your data balance will be displayed on the Glo mobile app dashboard. You can now monitor your data usage and manage your Glo services through the app.

The interesting part of using the mobile application is that you can do anything concerning your GLO SIM there. You can check your data balance, airtel, link your NIN and many more.
