Pastor E. A. Adeboye of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) is trending on social media after a video was released of him praying for church members.
In the video, Adeboye prayed that in 2024 all of his church members’ colleagues, friends, and family members would come to them begging for food and refreshments.
He said he hoped RCCG members would be the “go-to” people in their families that others seek aid from.
The RCCG Twitter account rapidly deleted the controversial video after its release.
Now many Nigerians on Twitter are criticizing Adeboye, one of Nigeria’s most recognized and wealthy pastors, for the problematic prayer and attempted cover-up.
