Roma won 1-0 against Genoa: at the Olimpico a goal scored in the second half by Romelu Lukaku decided the match.

Roma needed a victory to bid farewell to its fans in the best possible way and to guarantee the certainty of that sixth place in the league which, at the end of the season, could also be worth qualifying for the next Champions League, and the victory came against Genoa.

A match, the one played at the Olimpico, which saw the hosts manage the pace of the game for the most part, but possession of the ball often seemed relatively sterile.

Genoa team showed great compactness and readiness and started with the counterattack.

Genoa tried to be dangerous with Retegui and Frendrup. But Roma responded with Lukaku and Paredes. They were the main players in the final part.

The referee naively sent off Paredes in the 72nd minute after he protested. Lukaku scored the decisive goal in the 79th minute.

A heavy goal which, as mentioned, allows Roma to secure sixth place with 90′ to spare. The Giallorossi now have no choice but to support Atalanta in the Europa League final to qualify for the next Champions League.
