“Despair not an option”: Obi’s emotional message to Obidients after PEPC verdict

In the February 25 general election, Peter Obi, the Labour Party’s presidential candidate, has encouraged his supporters, known as Obidients, to remain hopeful.

This message came on Saturday morning, September 9, when the former Anambra State governor shared his sentiments on social media.

He emphasized that despite the ongoing judgment process in the presidential election petition court, there is still reason to hold onto hope.

Obi believes that the pursuit of a brighter future for Nigeria is just starting.

In his statement, Obi said:”Today, I want to personally reach out and encourage you all to keep hope alive. Considering the challenges that lie ahead of us as a movement, despair is not an option. Nothing good in life comes easy.

“Throughout history, positive changes come only with sacrifices, perseverance, resilience and fluctuating fortunes.”Right from the onset of our journey, I told you all that the journey upon which we were about to embark was not a short sprint, but a long and tough marathon. It was always going to be difficult, painful and excruciating.”
