Victor Osimhen at PSG, the new twist
Yet another turnaround in the Victor Osimhen case, in PSG’s sights this summer.
Paris Saint-Germain is not having a brilliant transfer window this summer. Even though it has completed some files in recent weeks, the capital club has still not managed to complete the most priority one. This is indeed the replacement for Kylian Mbappé that PSG has not managed to find. However, one of the club’s first leads, Victor Osimhen, is still free on the transfer market.
PSG still following Victor Osimhen
PSG is in freewheeling mode at the start of the season. Two games, two wins, ten goals scored against only conceded. This is the record of the capital club after the first two days of Ligue 1. PSG is mainly driven by its attack now composed of Ousmane Dembélé, Gonçalo Ramos, Bradley Barcola, Randal Kolo Muani and Marco Asensio.
However, Paris is still expected to replace Kylian Mbappé with a new recruit in the offensive sector. The club itself has launched several leads in recent months in this direction like those of Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, Nico Williams, Julian Alvarez or Victor Osimhen. After several failures , it is finally the Nigerian who is getting closer to an arrival in the capital.
PSG to go on the attack for Osimhen
The Victor Osimhen case continues to make Naples grind its teeth. Under contract with the Italian club until 2026, the Nigerian international decided to leave Serie A this summer. But the financial demands of Napoli, which are demanding the payment of his release clause, i.e. 130 million euros, are pushing back suitors like Paris Saint-Germain.
Furthermore, the position of the former Lille striker has finally changed his mind, who has apparently revised his demands downwards, to the great pleasure of PSG. La Gazzetta dello Sport announced, in fact, this Saturday that the Parisian club could send a new offer to Naples for Victor Osimhen in the coming days. PSG’s proposal should, of course, be below the amount initially requested by the Italian club. The signals are therefore green for the moment until the next twist.
