Military Airstrikes Eliminate Over 100 ISWAP Members in Borno State

The North East Joint Task Operation Hadin Kai airstrikes of the Nigerian military reportedly killed over 100 Islamic State of the West African Province (ISWAP) members in Borno State on Friday.

Counter-insurgency expert Zagazola Makama reported these airstrikes. The Nigerian military targeted terrorists in the forest at Bukar Mairam, Marte Local Government Area, following surveillance detecting their presence.

He said: “The ISR platform sighted a massive movement of the insurgents moving toward a location suspected to be a meeting point of the terrorists.

“The strikes were successful, scoring devastating hits in the terrorists’ position.

“The terrorists converged in the area to plan night attacks against our troops’ locations.”
