Breaking: Nigerian Military Rescues Additionally Four Kidnapped Zamfara University Students

The Nigerian military rescued another four Federal University, Gusau (FUGUS) students kidnapped by terrorists.

Daily Stand recalls that the abduction of the students happened on October 14, 2023, from an off-campus home in Gusau, Zamfara State.

Counter-insurgency expert Zagazola Makama, based in the Lake Chad region, credited Operation HADARIN troops with the successful rescue. They swiftly responded to distress calls from the students in terrorist captivity.

The troops quickly set up a blocking position on a possible escape route, leading to a gunfight. Their superior firepower forced the terrorists to abandon their captives and flee.

During the encounter, two students escaped, and the troops safely rescued the remaining male and female students.
