The coach of the Super Eagles, Jose Peseiro, must select his final squad for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations by January 3, 2024.

Each of the 24 teams must submit their rosters 10 days before the tournament begins.

In addition, coaches, including Peseiro, must submit a prospective squad of 55 players by the end of this year.

CAF, the tournament’s organizing body, disclosed the tournament’s seedings, placing the Super Eagles in Pot 2.

This could mean they face formidable opponents in the group stage, such as Senegal, Cote d’Ivoire, Algeria, Tunisia, and Egypt.

The drawing ceremony will take place in Abidjan on October 12. From January 13 through February 11, 2023, Cote d’Ivoire will host the tournament.
