Seventeen players of Nigeria’s Super Eagles team have arrived at camp in Abu Dhabi for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.

The team, eager to win after ten years, saw early arrivals, including captain Ahmed Musa and Kenneth Omeruo, as mentioned in a tweet from the Super Eagles.

The camp in Abu Dhabi came to life with players and coaches preparing for the AFCON. Head coach Jose Peseiro welcomed the 17 players, and the first training happened on Wednesday.

The roster includes players from various clubs, like Alex Iwobi, Semi Ajayi, and others. More players, including Victor Osimhen and Samuel Chukwueze, are expected. The team looks forward to a productive second training session on Thursday.

However, Wilfred Ndidi withdrew due to injury, and Royal Antwerp’s Alhassan Yusuf replaced him as a defensive midfielder.
