Two Italians Against Guardiola As UEFA Releases Nominees For Men’s Coach of the Year
In the race for men’s coach of the year, UEFA’s technical study group and club coaches selected a shortlist.
The top three nominees were voted on by a jury of club coaches and national team coaches, along with journalists from European Sports Media (ESM).
The finalists for the award are:
- Josep Guardiola (Spain, Manchester City FC)
- Simone Inzaghi (Italy, FC Internazionale Milano)
- Luciano Spalletti (Italy, SSC Napoli)
Guardiola, Spalletti, and Inzaghi compete in the managerial category.
Pep Guardiola’s Achievements

Luciano Spalletti Achievements

Simone Inzaghi Achievements
Inzaghi led Inter Milan to the Champions League final and secured victories in the Coppa Italia and Supercoppa Italiana.
Despite losing the final, Inter’s performance was notable.
The winners will be announced on August 31 during the Champions League group stage draw.
