Sterling rejects attractive transfer destination, intends to stay in England

Chelsea push out Raheem Sterling, who is set to leave this summer. The English star will not accept an offer from Saudi Arabia – claims the Daily Mail.

Chelsea currently has over 40 players in its squad. It is planning to part ways with many of them by the end of the summer window. Manager Enzo Maresca has chosen a much smaller group to focus on, with the rest set to be let go.

Raheem Sterling has found himself in a difficult situation, having quickly gone from star status to the unwanted side. Chelsea has told him that his adventure at the club is coming to an end and a change is inevitable.

The 29-year-old had originally planned to stay at Stamford Bridge but has accepted the wishes of his superiors. He is looking for a new employer, although it may not be easy. Sterling has attracted a lot of interest in the transfer market. However, the huge wages he has received at Chelsea so far have been a hindrance.

Sterling is certainly not planning to move to Saudi Arabia. The Daily Mail claims that he will not accept any offer from the Arabic country. His priority is to continue playing in England. The media suggests that Aston Villa have already contacted his entourage. Crystal Palace are also among the interested teams.

Sterling has represented three major English clubs during his senior career – Liverpool, Manchester City and Chelsea. He has a wealth of experience, having scored 123 goals in 379 Premier League appearances.
