President Tinubu Confers with Christian Leaders in Abuja, Days After Meeting Muslim Leaders

On Monday, President Bola Tinubu hosted the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) leadership at the State House in Abuja.

The meeting, held in the Council Chamber of the Presidential Villa, included discussions with CAN President Daniel Okoh.

Details of the meeting remain unknown at the time of this report.

This follows President Tinubu’s recent meeting with the Supreme Council for Sharia in Nigeria (SCSN) at the Abuja State House.

Just two days ago, SCSN’s President, Sheikh Abdur-Rasheed Hadiyyatullah, publicly expressed regret for supporting the APC’s same-faith ticket in the 2023 election.

Sheikh Hadiyyatullah’s regret, shared during an Abuja interview, reignited discussions about the Muslim-Muslim ticket of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the 2023 election.

He emphasized that the same-faith ticket, instrumental in President Tinubu’s election victory, has failed to bring positive changes to the lives of Nigerians.
