Luis Suarez reunites with Lionel Messi as he signs for Inter Miami
Suarez recently joined the South Florida scene, joining former Barcelona teammates Messi, Jordi Alba, and Sergio Busquets in Major League Soccer.
‘Nothing more beautiful than with friends,’ Inter Miami shared on Instagram, with a picture of children holding the names of the team’s four stars.
The team expressed on X, previously known as Twitter: ‘Embracing the Miami dream.’
Suarez’s move to the MLS club comes after leaving Brazilian side Gremio earlier this month.
According to reports on Friday, the 36-year-old has signed a one-year contract with an option to extend for another season.
Meanwhile, the Miami Herald disclosed that the club co-owned by David Beckham exchanged its No 3 draft pick in the MLS SuperDraft for FC Dallas’ No 15 selection and $300,000 in general allocation money.
These funds are anticipated to contribute to covering Suarez’s salary.
Inter Miami hinted at the signing after parting ways with forward Josef Martinez after the 2023 season. The club is also on track to secure winger Julian Gressel from the reigning MLS Champions Columbus Crew, as reported by the Miami Herald.
