Leicester City: Ndidi, Iheanacho Dominate in Carabao Cup Victory
The Nigeria Super Eagles stars Kelechi Iheanacho and Wilfred Ndidi both scored as Leicester City triumphed over Burton Albion in the 2023–24 Carabao Cup, moving them forward to the tournament’s second round.
In the match held on Wednesday, Iheanacho’s clever backheel finish secured the opening goal just six minutes into the game.
Ndidi added to the lead by skillfully netting from Iheanacho’s pass in first-half stoppage time.
Leicester’s victory marks their second consecutive win this season, following their triumph against Coventry in the Championship last weekend.
Meanwhile, during Tuesday’s matches, Joe Aribo and Paul Onuachu were substituted in Southampton’s 3-1 loss to Gillingham, and Semi Ajayi remained on the bench as West Brom fell 2-1 to Stoke City.
