Tristan Muyumba, Brooks Lennon, and an own goal by Kamal Miller gave Atlanta an early advantage in the game.
Georgios Giakoumakis and Tyler Wolff scored in the second half to secure Atlanta’s victory. They are now sixth in the MLS Eastern Conference.
However, Leonardo Campana scored twice despite the defeat, and Miami’s impressive 12-game unbeaten streak in all competitions came to an end.
