Imo FA Election Results: Dike Emerges as New Chairman

Ifeanyi Dike, along with eight others, was elected as the new chairman of the Imo Football Association in Owerri, the state capital of Imo.

The elected members are Charles Nnadi, Kelechi Mejuobi, Casimir Mbachu, Jennifer Anusiem, Sunny Ndubuisi Ekeocha, Osita Nzenwa, and Angela Nkwo-Akpolu. The Vice Chairman is Sylvester Obasi. Godfrey Ndudi continues to act as secretary.

In his acceptance speech, Dike thanked the delegates and pledged to enhance football in the state and continue the work of the outgoing chairman, Mazi Amanze Uchegbulam.

Rev. Obioma Onyeaghala oversaw the election on behalf of the First Vice President of the Nigerian Football Federation, Chief Felix Anyasi. Prof. Ken Anugweje’s electoral committee, along with Lady Julianna Anyanwu and other members, efficiently conducted the elections.

Dike succeeds Mazi Amanze Uchegbulam, who has retired after 18 years of service. Former NFF First Vice President Uchegbulam was designated an honorary chairman for support and guidance.
