Five-time Ballon d’Or winner Cristiano Ronaldo is working under the most lucrative contract in world football. This contract is with the Saudi Professional League club Al-Nassr. He also has several sponsorship deals, allowing him to top the Forbes list of the highest-earning athletes.

Ronaldo is a phenomenon on the pitch. He also has a loyal legion of followers on social media. This includes a record 636 million on Instagram. Now he’s making history by branching out to YouTube.

His channel “UR Cristiano” broke records by surpassing one million subscribers in less than 90 minutes, before reaching 10 million. Ronaldo has already surpassed the 15 million mark, giving him further earning potential.

Ronaldo has posted 12 videos so far, and at the time of writing, they have garnered over 50 million views. According to Thinkific, YouTube creators earn between $2 and $12 for every 1,000 views. Advertisers pay a flat fee to the platform for every 1,000 views. YouTube takes 45 percent of the ad revenue. Creators get the remaining 55 percent.

CR7 is already making a lot of money, and there is much more to come as he looks to compete with YouTube sensation Mr Beast, who has racked up over 400 million views on his videos and can earn up to $5 million a month in advertising revenue alone.
