Senator Oluremi Tinubu, the First Lady, welcomed the Nigerian female football team, the Super Falcons, to the Presidential Villa in Abuja.
Daily Stand recalls that, in the jointly hosted FIFA Women’s World Cup by Australia and New Zealand, the team suffered defeat.
The Super Falcons of Nigeria lost to the English team in a penalty shootout after a 90-minute draw on August 7.
However, the invitation follows the First Lady’s meeting with the triumphant Nigerian female basketball team, D’Tigresses, last Monday in her effort to support and uplift Nigerian female sports figures.
