Omokri warned Obi

“Expect disappointment from Supreme Court”: Reno Omokri tells Peter Obi

Former President Goodluck Jonathan’s ex-aide, Reno Omokri, has disclosed potential outcomes for Labour Party’s presidential candidate, Peter Obi, regarding his plans to appeal the tribunal’s decision confirming President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s election victory.

Omokri warned Obi of possible “Supreme disappointment from the Supreme Court” due to alleged insults from his lawyers and threats by his supporters towards the judiciary.

In the ongoing electoral dispute, Peter Obi, the Labour Party (LP) presidential candidate, has voiced his intention to challenge the tribunal’s ruling, affirming President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s victory.

Obi’s decision has raised concerns, as it has allegedly involved his legal team using disrespectful language and his supporters making threats against the judiciary.

This situation may result in an unfavourable outcome for Obi when the Supreme Court delivers its verdict.

He wrote via X (formerly Twitter):

“Your lawyers are insulting the judiciary. Your supporters are threatening them. Your party members are impugning their integrity. And then you are appealing to the Supreme Court? You can see that you lack one of the most basic tenets of leadership. The ability to anticipate consequences. You as Peter Obi have allowed your Obidients to make you so odious in the eyes of the judiciary. You should have intervened when they were rubbishing Chief Justice Kayode Ariwoola. But you pandered to the headless mob of fascists. Only to now trend #AllEyesOnKayodeAriwoola. Anyway, I can’t blame you. You receive advice from madmen. Just expect Supreme disappointment from the Supreme Court!”
