Brig. Gen. Yusha’u Ahmed, the Director-General of NYSC has announced that the organization is teaming up with various partners to offer soft loans, enabling corps members to become self-sufficient.
Ahmed addressed reporters during the 2024 Batch ‘A’ Stream ‘2’ orientation course completion ceremony in Kaduna on Tuesday.
He stated that the Skills Acquisition and Entrepreneurship Development (SAED) program, which corps members underwent during their orientation course, aimed to ensure their financial independence after their service year.
He emphasized NYSC’s desire for corps members to establish successful businesses post-service. To further enhance their skills, the director general recommended that corps members participate in the post-camp SAED program.
