Troost-Ekong Says He’s ‘Lucky’ To Play With Osimhen As Nigeria Aims to Improve at AFCON

Super Eagles Vice-captain William Troost-Ekong has praised forward Victor Osimhen for his strong performance in Nigeria’s opening AFCON 2023 match against Equatorial Guinea.

Speaking positively about his teammate, Troost-Ekong acknowledged Osimhen’s talent and influence on the Super Eagles.

According to him, his admiration comes as Nigeria faces challenges but remains hopeful in the tournament. Along with coach Jose Peseiro, Troost-Ekong has assured Nigerians that the team has potential and is determined.

His confidence in Osimhen’s abilities reflects belief in the team’s strength, even after initial tournament setbacks.
