Thierry Henry: Kylian Mbappé is the best player in the club’s history
Thierry Henry, the former Arsenal and FC Barcelona striker, now coaching the France Espoirs team, declared on CBS Tuesday evening that he believes Kylian Mbappé is the best player in PSG’s history.
Despite recent criticism, Kylian Mbappé faced scrutiny for his performances in the Champions League semi-finals, both in the first leg in Dortmund and in the return at the Parc des Princes on Tuesday.
When asked If Mbappé is still among the best players in the history of the club? But it’s not even a debate, he replied.
“He’s number one, the best player in the club’s history for me. But other people who have seen other players will tell you that too. For me, Kylian Mbappé, with the impact he had and is having in the world, what he is doing and what he did in Paris, he will leave as the best player in the history of PSG, yes.”
The French team captain didn’t score or influence the game. These might be his last appearances with the club in the European Cup, as he’s expected to leave France at the end of the season.
PSG lost the match without scoring a goal, appearing insufficiently dangerous like their offensive leader. This elimination disappoints Paris, who were favourites before facing Borussia Dortmund.
