Bellingham, King of Madrid

At the end of a lively Clasico, it was the Madrilenians who won with the final scoreline of 3-2.

A success which allowed Carlo Ancelotti’s men to take an 11-point lead with 6 days to go in the La Liga standings, which means that Real Madrid are champions or at least virtually as written by Marca.

We find the same title on the front page of AS Newspaper which highlights the hero of the evening, Jude Bellingham, author of the liberating goal in added time.

A scenario that Madrid supporters have already seen numerous times this season. We can no longer count the number of times that the Englishman has had to take out this famous saviour’s cape.

For Marca Newspaper, “Bellingham folds La Liga”. This season, Jude has scored 21 goals and 10 assists in 36 matches in all competitions.

The press bows down to Luis Enrique’s PSG

A few days after the historic qualification against Barça in the Champions League, PSG inflicted the same pain on Lyon, in a 4-1 victory.

For L’Equipe Newspaper, PSG is heading “straight towards happiness”. Les Gones wanted to be ambitious and they were punished from the beginning of the match.

PSG delivered a real recital in the first half, putting an end to the debate and the suspense.

For Le Progrès, it was a “cold shower”, there was nothing to do against this PSG. In the post-match conference, Pierre Sage had very complimentary words towards Luis Enrique ‘s team.

The fans of Lyon are hoping for a different result in the Coupe de France final. PSG will have the opportunity to win the 12th title in its history in the event of success in Lorient on Wednesday, coupled with a defeat or draw for Monaco against Lille.

Manchester United comes close to humiliation

Manchester United almost suffered the greatest comeback in English history. Played against Coventry, an English football division 2 team. The Daily Telegraph says, “United were humiliated in victory”.

You only have to see Jim Ratcliffe’s face, which recalls Munch’s famous cry, to understand the tragedy that was avoided. For those who didn’t watch the match, Manchester United led 3-0 before a 3-3 comeback by the Championship team. Coventry even had a goal 4-3 in the last seconds of extra time, but the goal was cancelled for an offside of a few millimetres.

For The Sun, the “Red Devils were lucky” and according to the Daily Mail, it’s a “heartbreak” for the Coventry fans.

Manchester United finally secured their ticket to the final after the fateful penalty shootout. It will therefore be a Manchester Derby which will be played in the FA Cup final on May 25, like last season.
