Barcelona Outline 2024 Plans: Roque, Felix, Cancelo, and a New Midfielder
- Vitor Roque to Arrive Early
- Permanent Deals for Felix and Cancelo
- a Big-Money Defensive Midfielder
The Spanish club FC Barcelona are already working on their plans for the 2024 season, with a focus on securing the future of key players they already have and upgrading their squad in key areas.
According to Mundo Deportivo, the La Liga club giant’s top priority is to sign Brazilian striker Vitor Roque in January, ahead of his originally scheduled summer arrival. This is due to the long-term injury to Robert Lewandowski.
Once Roque is on board, Barcelona will turn their attention to making permanent deals for Joao Felix and Joao Cancelo, who have both impressed since arriving on loan from Atletico Madrid and Manchester City, respectively.
The club is keen to keep both players but will need to find a way to finance the deals without breaking the bank.
Barça also plans to improve the central midfield. Oriol Romeu has done a good job this season, but he is only seen as a short-term solution.
Barcelona are reportedly interested in signing Joshua Kimmich from Bayern Munich, but it is unclear whether they will be able to afford him without making major sales.
